Our Why:
Staying active isn’t vanity. How you move in your 50s determines how you live in your 70s. Active adults who do everything right — who show up, who move, who invest in their health — deserve better than “rest it and see” or “you’re just getting older.” That’s the wrong we exist to right.
Our Chiropractors:
Dr. Andy Van Hoewyk
Dr. Andy Van Hoewyk has a passion for helping active adults — from athletes to desk workers, parents, and anyone who wants to stay mobile and out of pain — recover without relying on medication or surgery. He specializes in treating sports injuries, shoulder disorders, and chronic pain, including a non-surgical alternative to joint replacement for patients looking to avoid surgery. Dr. Andy is certified in Graston, dry needling, and SFMA (a gold-standard movement assessment tool) and uses these approaches to find and fix the root cause of pain rather than masking it.
His goal is to help his patient achieve their goals without the need for addictive pain medications or expensive surgery.
Dr. Andy and his wife, Jackie, have two children, Noelle and Rory. They enjoy hockey, tennis, traveling, and going for walks. Dr. Andy’s father was also a chiropractor.
He served on the board of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association as the Central District President and has served on the Alamance County Board of Health.
Dr. Simon Williams
Dr. Simon Williams is a chiropractor at Cardinal Chiropractic and Sports Recovery in Burlington, North Carolina. He focuses on helping patients recover from injuries, reduce pain, and improve movement so they can return to the activities they enjoy. His approach combines chiropractic care plus modalities like dry needling and shockwave with rehabilitation-based exercises to address the root cause of musculoskeletal problems.
Originally from Western New York, Dr. Williams earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Keiser University. He has a strong interest in treating sports-related injuries, hip and knee joint pain, and movement dysfunction, and enjoys helping both active individuals and athletes stay healthy and perform at their best.
Dr. Williams is passionate about providing practical, patient-centered care that helps people move better, feel better, and build long-term resilience. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Shanique, and their dog, Roscoe, while staying active in the community.
