What should I expect on my first visit to Cardinal Chiropractic?
First, we complete a full exam. An exam consists of a detailed history of your aches and pains, and Dr. Andy will ask some follow-up questions including asking about your personal goals. Following the history, we will perform a thorough functional movement exam including orthopedic and neurological testing. We do this to make sure that our treatment will help and that you don’t need to be referred out to another specialist. After we complete the exam, we typically begin with treatment on the very first visit. Please visit our Services page for a detailed look at our different treatment options.
Do I have to have an Exam on the first visit?
State and federal guidelines require us to perform an exam on your first visit. If this is your first visit to our chiropractic clinic we must complete an exam. Even if you have seen another chiropractor your entire life and are used to just a quick tune-up, we will still perform an exam. You can book your first visit by clicking HERE.
Do you provide performance / maintenance care, or do you just treat pain?
Our chiropractors provide care to many athletes, desk workers, active seniors, etc. that utilize our office for performance and maintenance care. For them, it is a vital part of their active lifestyle. Many of our patients come to us because they are in pain but end up coming back routinely because of how it supports their general health and function. This type of care promotes injury resistance.
Can Cardinal Chiropractic help my headaches?
Headache patients are our #1 favorite type of patient! Typically, patients that suffer from headaches have been to every other specialist and have spent thousands of dollars on advanced testing, copays, and treatment. I’m proud to say some of our biggest successes have been helping chronic headache patients get relief from the pain fast! We put together an entire page on how we can help with Headaches.
Do you treat more than back pain?
While chiropractic physicians are most known for treating back pain, neck pain, and headaches – our office has had great success treating painful conditions in the arms and legs. Shoulder pain, elbow and wrist pain, carpal tunnel, hip pain, knee pain, ankle pain, and plantar fasciitis can all be successfully treated in our Burlington clinic. Check out our Conditions page for more information on what we can treat!
Do you offer Telehealth?
Yes! Chiropractic care is very often associated with hands-on care, but we are also skilled at evaluating movement function related to pain. I can watch you perform a task through the computer, identify the problem by observing the movement, and instruct you in how to fix or alleviate the problem all by yourself at home. Visit our Telehealth page to learn more.
